Ekotemplet Collection by Nina D
NINA D
Ekotemplet is our best-selling design, meticulously hand-illustrated by Nina D in a celadon green herringbone pattern. Each panel is individually painted, cut by hand, and carefully layered to create a timeless composition. The design is inspired by Nina’s Swedish upbringing and the family traditions that shaped her creative eye.
Nina grew up in Solna, just north of Stockholm city centre, where much of her childhood was spent exploring the nearby royal park, Hagaparken. One of her favourite places was the Haga Echo Temple (Ekotemplet), built in 1790 as a summer dining pavilion for King Gustav III, renowned for his love of outdoor entertaining. Both an architectural focal point and an acoustic marvel, the temple’s oval form was designed to carry conversation effortlessly across the grand table, enhancing the shared experience of the king and his guests.
