Sonya Winner Rug Studio
This September, British designer Sonya Winner presents Colores de México, a striking new series of hand-tufted rugs and runners inspired by the rich visual language of Mexican modernism. Conceived following Sonya’s first visit to Mexico earlier this year, the new creations pay homage to the country’s vivid palette, warm light, and the lasting influence of two pioneering modernists: architect Luis Barragán and artist Josef Albers.
The collection debuts with two bold designs, Barragán Pool and Mexico Sunlight which translate architecture, colour theory and tonal layering into tactile works of art for the floor.
