An Original Series that Puts a New Spin on Decorative Hardware

 

This year, PullCast has unveiled an assortment of new hardware designs to the public. These novelties exhibit the contemporary and detailed essence that the brand is best known for. While some are extensions to a few of PullCast’s most beloved hardware families, others bring an original perspective to decorative hardware, including the awe-inspiring Duorum series.
The Duorum Hardware family sets itself apart due to its distinctive and bold form. Its inspiration is motivated by the remarkable Douro Valley landscape in Porto. To faithfully reinterpret the valley, PullCast’s team of designers resorted to undulating features to symbolize the in-depth scenery of the landscape. It is a stand-out series with its own set of characteristics, thought out as a new way of decorating with sublime and meaningful details, seamlessly bringing together aesthetics and functionality.
The Douro Valley is one of the most outstanding landscapes in Portugal. Classified as a World Heritage Site, this picturesque region certainly does not go unnoticed. This location is best known for its fertile fields, rich history, and tradition, replete with enthralling spaces throughout, from terraced vineyards to charming villages. PullCast wanted to reproduce the cultural importance of this beautiful location into an exclusive hardware family, illustrating its flowy and curved nature and, above all, its striking visual effect.
With all of its majestic and natural elements, Duorum had to be a part of PullCast’s Earth collection. This series resulted from a constant pursuit to find the most distinguished forms, shapes, and textures in nature, and the Douro Valley goes hand-in-hand with the fundamentals of this collection. PullCast pays tribute to this cultural site through this daring hardware family. It will add intricate layers of detail to interiors, offering a more modern and whimsical decor spin.
The Duorum series comprises seven hardware designs: two door pulls, two cabinet handles, two door levers, and one drawer handle. All designs share a similar aesthetic but have a few distinctive features that set them apart, whether concerning size or a more clean-shaped structure in parts. One can easily match these different models in the same environment or home, and it will still flow masterfully decor-wise. Say, for example, use the door levers in between rooms and equip all furnishings with drawer and cabinet handles for a cohesive look. 
These hardware pieces are brass made and come in an aged brass finish. Nevertheless, they are also available in polished and brushed brass options. All in all, these sculpted designs can act as an innovative complement to any division, from an entrance statement door pull to a unique bathroom furniture accessory.
