The 60s brought with it a lot of iconic cultural moments; from the emergence of the thigh-skimming mini skirt through to hysteria that was Beatlemania. And a new collection from artisan textile designer Jan Constantine brings together two key aspects of this distinctive decade in a new collection celebrating Pop Art and the peace movement.

The ‘Love and Peace Collection’ is a celebration of freedom and peace.

Jan Constantine, founder of her eponymous textile brand, said: “The last few years have seen some incredible turmoil in the world, and I wanted to create something that conveys a message of hope.”

The seven-strong collection brings together bold colours, statement typography and strong symbolism for which Jan is renowned. Available as classic square or rectangular bolster cushions, each piece is embellished with appliqué detailing and hand-embroidered elements on luxury felt wool. Luxury gold thread completes the look.

Jan added: “John Lennon once sang, ‘All we are saying is give peace a chance.’ And never more does it feel like the world needs to listen.”

The Love and Peace Collection is available now from janconstantine.com with prices starting at £130.
