Painted Red and Cream Sideboard

It started life in Gansu province in western China as a storage chest for holding grain. The three doors are in cream with a black lacquer surround, all contrasting with the cabinet's thick, deep red frames. Each door is decorated with paintings of Chinese landscapes including mountains and trees. A highly distinctive Chinese sideboard that would bring colour and character to any space.
