Prestige Hampers were proud to host the charity 'Kidsmas' campaign’ in support for the UK’s largest children’s charity Barnardo’s at the new flagship store, Prestige Flowers Gift Shop in Halifax.
Prestige hampers are proud supporters of Barnardo's which supports children young people and families across the UK that are disadvantaged and vulnerable. To date, almost £80,000 has been raised by the Prestige Flowers team to support this valuable cause.
Prestige hampers put together a variety of festive activities to entertain children and their families from Barnardo’s Stronger Families service, giving them their very own exclusive Christmas party.
The morning started with a demonstration in the new state of the art Florist with Zen Akram, the Florist Gift Shop Manager, demonstrating how to make fun festive crafts.
The children and families all joined the sharing table and made their own festive foam spectacles, painted Christmas characters and made seasonal fun door hangers.
The fun didn’t stop there – next up was a Christmas quiz which was hosted by Philip Crowther, Business Development Manager at Prestige hampers. There were three teams and each were rewarded with chocolates and a certificate.
The families enjoyed the new Next Level Bar in Halifax (owned by Prestige Hampers and adjacent to the new flagship store). They had exclusive access to the entire venue, a chance to enjoy all the free-play, retro arcade machines including Mario Kart, Sega Rally and Dance Revolution. They also enjoyed fresh Next Level pizzas and delicious fries.
Manmeet Kaur, Barnardo’s Corporate Relationship Manager, said: “We were so pleased for children and families from our service to be able to go to the demonstration and see the magical things that can be done with flowers.
“Barnardo’s is very grateful to Prestige Flowers for all they do for us as a charity – not just the fantastic funds they raise but also in involving our service users in exciting and worthwhile events such as this.”
