Some sofas are simply destined to be the object of our desire. They widen eyes and quicken hearts. Their images are downloaded, saved, put in a hidden file where they can be enjoyed at will, when no one else is looking. These longings are kept secret from your current sofa for fear of misunderstanding, ridicule, jealousy. After all you have been together a long time, it is a perfectly good sofa, one that you sit on every night, the fact that you can’t bear to look at it any more and that its comfort depends on twenty seven cushions is neither here nor there. It is the sofa you have, love the one you’re with. And yet, you can’t forget the Oriel. It lingers in your mind, in a colour of your choosing, with its open arms, long legs and button back cushions, it is utterly come hither. You know you want it, give in. Your old sofa takes you for granted, start something new with a sofa that will truly love you back.
