This October will see the launch of a beautiful new range of Australian pet accessories showcasing the artwork of talented Australian indigenous artists.

The Outback Tails range of pet products will be graced with the artwork of Pauline Napangardi Gallagher from the Warlukurlangu Artist co-op in the Northern Territory with proceeds from the sale of products going back to Pauline’s community.

The brand will launch in early October with a range of luxurious leather collars and leads, stylish canvas dog beds and ceramic bowls all featuring authentic indigenous artworks. Soon to follow will be a collection of lush grooming products including dog shampoos and coat freshening sprays infused with native Australian bush extracts such as Tasmanian Pepper Berry and Emu Apple.

Inspiration for the range comes from owner Jessica Knight's passion and love of animals combined with an appreciation of Australian design, indigenous art and native Australian ingredients.

Knight says: "I wanted to create a uniquely Australian range of pet accessories that showcased contemporary Australian design, art and craft without the cliches."

"I originally came up with the concept when I was asked to create a range of 'Aussie themed' pet products for the US market but the idea of stuffed koala dog toys and dog beds printed with typical Australian icons really didn't excite me. That’s when I decided to do things a bit differently and the Outback Tails concept was born."

Outback Tails products will be available exclusively online in Australia from www.outbacktails.com from October 1st.
