Dark, Moody, Mysterious Meets Optimistic, Creative Expressive

Harnessing the power of colour when done well oozes confidence and optimism. 2019 has seen a dark, moody, colour palette move into the home. Entire rooms, kitchen cabinetry and architectural features are being painted in bold, saturated forest greens, midnight blues and even black. Making a comeback too is the ’60s curve’, in the form of rounded arches, curvaceous, voluptuous furniture and organic, abstract artwork.

Cleverly matching a dark moody interior and a bold, expressive piece of art will not only add a colourful accent and focal point to a room, but the broad, gestural brushstrokes will echo the ‘curve’ seen elsewhere, ultimately making the home feel both inviting and relaxed.
