Oriental interiors specialist Shimu has announced a new line of oriental rugs and kelims, available to order through its West Yorkshire showroom or online.

The new range includes classic oriental and Persian patterns along with more modern designs for the present day. Traditional crafts are used throughout the range, which includes 100% pure wool rugs hand-knotted in Pakistan and India as well as very affordable machine woven rugs. Kelims from India are hand woven in a blend of wool and cotton, available in both traditional tribal and modern designs.

The new collection has been carefully selected to perfectly complement Shimu's wide range of oriental and Chinese antique furniture. Says James Cottrell, found and director of Shimu, "We are always looking for beautifully made products that offer a great addition to the oriental furniture and Chinese antiques that we are so well known for. The traditional, centuries-old designs of many of these rugs fit perfectly with the history and character of our furniture and offer a similar long-lasting appeal."
