As we try to ensure we use more sustainable products in all aspects of our life, the latest collection from Abode Living brings sustainability and environmental ethos into home decor.

Owners Lynda and Phillipa have taken time to source suppliers that follow sustainable and environmentally aware production methods for the latest collection at Abode Living. One of the areas this is most evident is with the Summer 2020 soft furnishing collection. The collection includes luxurious linen throws and cushions in various textures and colours, to offer a relaxed mix and match range that can be layered together or added to existing soft furnishings to update your home. Gorgeous, on trend colours include caramels, saffron, pinks and blue, with natural and black tones for a more classic look. As one of the worlds most sustainable fibres, requiring no additional irrigation and with all parts of the plant used, linen offers luxury with environmental credential.

About Linen

Linen is one of the most sustainable fibres in the world. Produced from the Flax plant, and with 80% of world production in Northern Europe where rainwater is sufficient irrigation. Fibres are separated from the stem of the plant in a natural process and all parts of the plant are used – linseed for crop planting with excess used in food – those lovely seeded loaves we all buy - and for creating linseed oil, rougher fibres for animal bedding and chipboards, higher quality fibres for textiles with particles from the waste recycled for use in paper or insulation manufacturing.
