B&Q has unveiled a brand-new collection of modular room dividers. The release of the Alara range, available online today and in selected stores from 2nd November, comes as more than a third (35 per cent) of Brits reveal that they are looking for ways to improve their home working environment.
The recent research* from the leading DIY retailer also revealed that more than half (57 per cent) agree our homes are more significant in improving our lives than ever, and that 25 per cent of Brits are looking to repurpose their space to better suit their needs.
The Alara range is the retailer’s first fully customisable room divider, and is designed to allow renters, remote workers and growing families to make better use of their home’s space without the difficulty or cost of building a permanent wall.
Whether it's transforming a living room to create an office, adding a partition to a shared bedroom or creating a hallway within an open plan living space, the modular collection is an easy to install and affordable solution - though it can’t guarantee little faces popping up during work Zoom calls! The lightweight, sturdy panels simply click into place and can be painted to match the decor of any room.
The customisable dividers can also be designed to make a statement feature wall, with windows, corkboards, oak slats and shelving and combined with post extenders to meet the height of any ceiling between 230cm and 282cm.
