SPRING AND SUMMER TRENDS

At Natalia Willmott we have seen an increase demand for homewares that can be used both inside and outdoors. Once we are able to meet with 6 people outside in our own gardens or parks at the end of the month of March (in the UK)- we will be making the most of our weather and also entertain outside "alfresco".

We present our collection NATURAL - beautiful and versatile pieces made out of natural materials such as teakroot, bamboo, wicker, willow, mango wood and cotton- made by artisans around the world showing skills such as block printing, weaving and carving.
The items in our collection can be viewed on our website  and from 1st April, we can also show you our collection via zoom and via private viewing in our workshop once the shops reopen.

Natalia Willmott says about NATURAL "There is something really special about using an item that has come from our earth and transformed into a new shape and into something functional with skills that have been used, perfected over thousands of years. Presenting food beautifully before it is used and consummed is like a beautiful ritual and a thank you to our earth. What the pandemic has shown us is that we should be grateful for what we have and spend time appreciating nature and our surroundings. Now it's time to celebrate with family and friends."

5 TIPS to Create a "mouth-watering" chic picnic in your garden or in nature

1. Use a beautiful large tray to display food (or drinks) you have brought, are cooking on a BBQ- display it on a picnic rug, on an outdoor table or ledge

2. Use bowls and baskets and platters to display fruit and vegetables, quiches and pizza, nibbles and salads. In our chic picnic we don’t display plastic containers with food we got from the supermarket or takeaway. We take time to decant it in a beautiful bowl for example.

3 Use natural linens and napkins to create a beautiful table or setting and you won’t be running after paper napkins blowing off in the wind.Add blankets in case of a chilly day or evening.

4.Use a giant food protector to protect your food from insects and to create a “big TADA reveal”

5.Add a beautiful candleholder or vase to a table or ledge to create ambiance, put some music on and let the conversations flow.

It’s time to reunite outside with our loved ones in a safe way. Enjoy
