Commemorate the Queen’s amazing 70 years on the throne with the best of everything British. We’ve put together five fantastic ideas for how you can take part in the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, no matter your space, guest list or budget.
Street Party

The street party is a Great British tradition, and a great way to bring your community together.

Fill your road with a line of tables and chairs decked out with some colourful linen and cushions, with plenty of plates, glasses and serveware for everyone to contribute some delicious food and drinks to share. Finish off with some bunting and table decorations in a Union Jack inspired colour palette.
Garden Party

Dust off the barbecue and celebrate at home with friends and family.

Serve your food alfresco on your best tableware and glasses with platters for guests to help themselves. Why not serve some special cocktails to mark the occasion? Don’t forget to have your garden furniture looking party ready, and brighten up your outdoor space with some garden decorations.
Summer Picnic

There’s nothing better than a summertime picnic in the local park. You can even take the kids to see the beautiful British countryside or have a day at the beach.

Wherever you choose as your spot, make sure to bring a picnic blanket along and some cushions for comfort. Pack a hamper full of traditional British treats (and maybe a bottle of bubbly for the grown-ups!) and arrange your spread in style. Remember to bring along some games and activities to keep the little ones entertained.
Celebrate in Nature

A great way to take advantage of the glorious summer weather, sit outdoors in garden furniture made extra cosy with added accessories, and invite the local wildlife with a bird feeder or bath and fill your lawn or patio with plenty of decorative plant pots. Transform your garden into a wild country meadow filled with life and vibrant colour.
Afternoon Tea

Set up your garden furniture in a sunny spot, spread out your table linen and bring out your best crockery – traditional cups and saucers, plates and platters full of your favourite fare.

A cake stand can hold homemade buns and baked treats as well as finger sandwiches.

A vase filled with gorgeous flowers makes a stunning centrepiece, and some ornaments nearby will bring a cheerful look to any outdoor space.
