Empowering Boudoirs

After the repurposing of spare bedrooms during lockdown as gyms, home offices
or playrooms, we are now changing them again - but not to their original use. Increasingly, second bedrooms are being used as 'White Rooms' - a private space
for moments of peace, calm, and self-reflection.
In a recent Instagram poll, 69% of our customers say they often
have trouble sleeping when sharing a bed, and 70% would like
to use their spare rooms as a relaxation space.

This is not a new phenomenon. A 'boudoir' was a space that formed part of a suite of rooms, separate to a lady's bedchamber, used as a private drawing room. The term derives from the French verb 'bouder' (to sulk or pout) as the room was originally a space to withdraw to, allegedly to 'sulk' in.
Women have spoken to us about their 'white room' being an empowering space where they can enjoy the calm between the tasks of the day, cultivate mindful moments, and celebrate olfactory rituals.
Create your own White Room with calming scents, soft lighting,
and sumptuous furnishings of natural fibres and neutral tones.
