Cushioning the blow!

New data reveals homeowners are turning to soft furnishings to give their living spaces a revamp as we head in to 2024.

Using research from Pinterest, coastal-inspired homewares brands XV Stripes has seen interest in cushions soar 30 per cent over the last month.

Izzey Hung is the founder of XV Stripes. She said: “Cushions are a versatile homeware that are the perfect mix of form and function. From a comfort angle, they are ideal for some extra support when lounging around but from an aesthetic perspective, they can add colour, texture and style wherever they are placed.”

XV Stripes has a wide range of coastal-inspired cushions which will bring a touch of the ocean to every home. From cushions featuring hand-drawn yachting motifs to solid blocks of colour, the collection is inspired by life on and off the water at the brand’s home on the Isle of Wight.

All are made from sustainable cotton.

The cushions are available now from xvstripes.com with prices starting at £29.

About XV Interiors

Inspired by a deep connection to coastal living and the ocean, XV Interiors captures the essence of relaxed, considered interiors with sustainability at their core.

XV Interiors was born from a meeting of minds. Founder Izzey Hung had long nurtured a desire to reflect her love of the water—life on it and beneath it—drawing particular inspiration from the Isle of Wight and the Hampshire coastline she calls home. Frustrated by a lack of high-quality, sustainably made pieces that truly resonated, she recognised an opportunity to create something more meaningful. From this vision, XV Stripes was established.

A chance introduction to designer Vicky Sanders—formerly Head of Design at both Matthew Williamson and Zara Home—marked the beginning of the brand’s creative evolution. Together, they shaped the narrative and design language of XV, bringing to life a collection rooted in craftsmanship, storytelling, and a shared passion for coastal-inspired design.
