As we start to see a gradual move away from bold, saturated pinks that were so dominant last year, more subtle, powdery hues are still as popular as ever in our design choices. Playful yet still sophisticated, Clarissa Hulse's 'Dusky Skies' palette will help bring a touch of botanical softness to any home.

'I really believe you can't go wrong using subtle dusky pinks in your scheme as it is a neutral that looks beautiful teamed with most colours. Mix with mustard for a Scandi vibe, olive for a contemporary look or natural warm tones. I have included a few softer palettes in my new mural range with Graham & Brown, and when decorating my own house took the plunge using the Serendipity Stone mural on all 4 walls of our bedroom. Even though the design is a bold show stopper, the softer hues make it really calm and easy to live with, '- Clarissa Hulse

Seen above is the new Serendipity design, inspired by Clarissa's craft - after hours of screen printing these serendipitous patterns emerge on the printing table backing cloth. The result is pure botanical magic.


On the right is a perennial favourite, the umbellifer motif, seen in a new wallpaper design 'Wild Chervil'. Featuring floral clusters screen printed in gold metallic on tactile mica fibrous paper, this design is an invitation to bring the magic of spring indoors.

About Clarissa Hulse

Clarissa Hulse designs beautiful and luxurious homewares from her studio in North London, with an emphasis on botanical imagery and bold colour. Her designs are based on her passion for nature photography, which are just as likely to originate from walks in her local park, as the unspoilt countryside of Wiltshire, or even far flung tropical rainforests. Her unique prints and original colour sense transcend trends and bring timeless beauty to any home.
