Introducing the ‘British Biophilia’ luxury wallpaper collection from Studio Le Cocq

Studio Le Cocq is a British design studio based in the heart of Somerset, UK, debuting their first wallpaper collection 'British Biophilia'.

With meticulously hand-drawn and painted patterns by textile designer Stephanie Le Cocq (pronounced 'Le Coke'). Stephanie is inspired by her appreciation of nature and daily life in rural Somerset, bringing the essence of nature indoors with bucolic scenes and romantic botanicals.

Studio Le Cocq has partnered with British manufacturers that prioritise high quality and environmental sustainability.

The collection features five designs; 'Woodland Floor', 'The Lost Garden', 'Hedgerows', 'First Signs' and 'Daily Walk'. All were originally hand-drawn and painted, then digitally printed onto luxury wallcoverings.

The collection was born when Stephanie returned to Somerset during the 'lockdown' period. This provided a pivotal moment of introspection, the slowdown and restrictions with a return to Somerset, led her to draw inspiration right from her doorstep.

Drawn in by the complex details of the forest floor, on walks in Stockhill Woods. Or struck by the beauty of wildflowers along a bridleway. It’s this combination, and a love of botanical drawing and historical textiles (such as William Kilburn’s chintzes), that led her to dream up a wallpaper collection.

This Spring, the 'British Biophilia' collection will be available to buy from StudioLeCocq.com and a select number of retailers. Prices start from £165 for wallpaper and we will be launching a fabric collection later this Spring.

To celebrate the launch of Studio Le Cocq, we will be showing the collection in person, at an interior design trade show 'Design Central' in Somerset on the 19-20th March.
