For Salone del Mobile 2025, Spanish luxury brand LOEWE unveils its specific collection - LOEWE TEAPOTS: a commission of teapots specially developed by 25 artists, designers and architects. The exhibition will go on view at the Palazzo Citterio in Milan from 7–13 April, reshaping the form of tea ware from an innovative perspective and creating a distinctive platform for in-depth dialogue between Eastern and Western craft aesthetics. Among the most distinguished participants is Chen Min, a pioneering Chinese industrial designer, who has been invited to showcase his latest series in this exhibition.

Each artist of “TEAPOT” has taken a unique approach to the teapot. Together the works reimagine the vessel’s sculptural form, drawing on the varied and rich traditions of tea making and culture found around the world. Chen Min’s Duan series explores the delicate balance between touch and stability in the ritual of holding tea. With an intriguing self-resetting mechanism, the Gaiwan design invites deeper discussion on the dynamic interaction between human and object. Meanwhile, Duan Hu, meaning "serving a teapot," suggests an elegant and deliberate action—one that embodies care, precision, and tradition, all deeply rooted in tea culture.

Notably, Chen Min's collaboration with LOEWE has been longstanding and remarkably fruitful. Their partnership started in 2018 when his Hangzhou Stool was one of the finalists for the prestigious LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize. In 2019, he was invited by as one of the award’s expert panel. In 2020, he was invited to create the Prominence vase, which became part of the LOEWE Weaves collection and later was showcased in LOEWE’s landmark exhibition “LOEWE Crafted World” in 2024. Each milestone underscores Chen Min's mastery of design and his dedication to blending Eastern and Western aesthetics. His participation in this year’s Milan Design Week further cements his importance as a leading voice in contemporary design and a prominent representative of Chinese creativity to the international stage.
