The Posh Shed Company reveals this summer’s hottest shed colour

Sage Green is the nation’s favourite shed colour, closely followed by Warm Grey and Smokey Blue.

That’s according to new research from The Posh Shed Company, who surveyed 252 people across the country to find out their top pick when it comes to shed colour.

28% of respondents opted for Sage Green, while 13.4% said they would prefer a Warm Grey shed and 12.6% said they would go for a Smokey Blue finish.

Pale Pink was the nation’s least favourite shed colour.

Jenny Davis from The Posh Shed Company said: “Gone are the days when a quick lick of varnish was the finish of choice for shed owners.

“As homeowners have become more adventurous with their interior schemes, they are using the same approach when it comes to styling the garden, and the shed is no exception.

“Today’s discerning shed owners are looking for buildings that not only serve their functional needs but meet their exacting aesthetic standards too.”

All surfaces are sanded by hand, before holes and gaps are filled to ensure each shed has the perfect surface. A timber primer is then applied to all outside surfaces, before being topped off with two layers of Teknos Aquatop – a paint which is not only long lasting but wards off UV rays, mould and grime with its slick, smooth finish.
