The Hottest Bathroom Trends for 2025

While bathrooms are first and foremost functional spaces, that doesn’t mean they can’t be just as stylish as any other room in the home. We explore what’s trending in bathroom design for 2025 and the heating solutions that complement each look perfectly.

Nature Inspired Elements

Biophilic design has been long been proven to help our mental well-being so what better place to introduce a touch of nature than in the bathroom, which is often used as a place of relaxation. There are many ways to achieve this look, whether you go for some subtle house plants and natural, rustic accessories, or go full out with a nature-inspired colour palette for tiles or walls.

“In terms of your heating for a nature-inspired bathroom scheme, something like a brushed brass, matt black or brushed nickel finish would work really well,” advises Nick Duggan, MD of The Radiator Centre. “These tones feel more grounded and earthy compared to high-shine chrome and blend seamlessly with natural materials like wood or stone. Alternatively, you could consider a vertical panel radiator in a shade such as clay, stone, sage green or off-white. These colours echo natural elements and create a clean, soothing look.”

Japanese Influences

Often referred to as Japandi, (a mix of Japanese and Scandi influences) this style is about creating a tranquil, spa-like sanctuary that promotes relaxation and mindfulness. To create a Japandi style bathroom, clutter needs to be kept to a minimum, so consider lots of practical built in storage for a family bathroom. Choose soft wood tones, stone textures and matte black or brushed metal fixtures, combined with a calming neutral colour palette.

“Some modern designer radiators mimic stone, slate or concrete finishes, giving a natural look while providing efficient heating, perfect for a sleek Japandi space,” comments Nick.

Sustainable Style

Sustainability is becoming a key focus in bathroom design, with homeowners seeking eco-friendly choices that don’t compromise on style. From water-saving fixtures and low-flow toilets to recycled materials, natural finishes and energy-efficient lighting, there’s a growing shift toward creating bathrooms that are both beautiful and environmentally responsible.

“An energy-efficient radiator or towel rail is a great choice for modern bathrooms. Some of the latest designs have up to 80% less water in the system, which in turn means less energy is needed to heat it. There are also some great options designed to work with low temperature systems, such as heat pumps. These radiators allow the heat pump to work at its most efficient level, maintaining comfort without overworking the system. Pairing the right radiators with your heat pump is key to maximizing energy savings and ensuring consistent, efficient warmth,” explains Nick.

Bold Designs

Bold bathroom design is seeing a strong resurgence in 2025, as homeowners lean into expressive, character-rich interiors. Dramatic colours, eye-catching tiles and luxurious textures are turning bathrooms into standout spaces. From rich jewel tones and checkerboard flooring to striking marble and imaginative tile work, this trend marks a move away from minimalism in favour of personality and flair.

“Many radiators come in a choice of beautiful colours, making it easy to choose something which co-ordinates perfectly with your chosen colour scheme. Alternatively, you might like to consider an art radiator with an eye-catching bold design, which will really make a statement,” says Nick.

Seeing Double

Double vanity units are becoming a must-have in modern bathrooms and it’s easy to see why. They offer the perfect blend of style and practicality, giving couples or busy families space to get ready in comfort, without stepping on each other’s toes. Not only do they bring a sense of hotel luxury to everyday living, but they also help keep things beautifully organised.

“For a luxurious bathroom style, wider towel rails are ideal, offering ample space for two sets of towels, while vertical designer radiators in sleek finishes like brushed brass, matte black or soft white will help to further elevate a luxury hotel look. You may also wish to choose a style that mirrors the vanity’s finish or hardware for a polished, cohesive look,” suggests Nick.

Mixed Metal Finishes

Mixed metals are truly making a splash in bathroom design, bringing a fresh, stylish touch. By blending finishes like warm brass with sleek chrome or matte black, you can create a look that feels both timeless and right on trend. This approach gives you the freedom to mix vintage charm with modern flair, making your bathroom feel uniquely yours.

“A beautiful towel rail in a stunning metallic finish can be the perfect finishing touch for this style. I would suggest choosing a complementary tone and making sure each metal makes an appearance at least once for a stylish, cohesive feel throughout the room,” says Nick.
