Television presenter Angellica Bell opened the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2025 press day for the BBC in a bespoke tea dress by Lorelei London, marking a quiet yet meaningful moment for our brand that is rooted in sustainability and storytelling.

The dress, a custom edition of Lorelei London’s signature Lorelei Lady Tea Dress, features a bespoke floral print hand-drawn and developed in close collaboration with Bell. Inspired by her love of full-bloom roses, the Angellica Rose print was brought to life in her chosen palette of vibrant red, warm cream, and soft peach. Each element was printed and crafted in London using 100% GOTS-certified organic fibres.

“This dress began with a simple idea: to create something meaningful, personal, and entirely one-of-a-kind for our genuinely lovely client,” the brand shared on social media following the event. “The Chelsea Flower Show has long been interwoven with the story of our brand, and this week felt like a full-circle moment.”

Known for its thoughtful, small-batch approach, Lorelei London has built its identity on season-less design and local production. Founded by fashion designer Liane Spencer-Garnham, the brand is guided by a slow fashion philosophy, offering one silhouette at a time in limited prints, with the aim of reducing waste and resisting the pressure of overconsumption.

The Angellica Rose dress was constructed entirely in London, digitally printed onto organic natural fibres, using renewable energy in a zero-to-landfill facility. Every element of this dress, from print to pattern, fabric to finish and construction has been thoughtfully considered to limit our impact on the environment. The brand’s circular design model includes partnerships with SOJO for alterations and repairs, and resale through The Cirkel. 

Our aim is to create garments that are loved, cherished, worn over and over, repaired, passed down, re-sold and ultimately biodegrade back to the land, having given the wearer as much joy as possible and the environment as little impact as possible.
