Hallway to Heaven

Thorndown on the importance of a welcoming hallway

It’s one of the home’s hardest working spaces, and if your hallway is ready for a refresh, eco paint brand Thorndown is on hand to help.

Caroline Thornborough, Design Director of Thorndown, said: “Never overlook the hallway when it comes to interior décor.

“While many might think of it as a thoroughfare, somewhere to pass through as you navigate the home, it’s so much more. It is often the last thing you see as you leave the home and the first room that awaits as you return. And while it might not add value in quite the same way as a beautiful kitchen or a stunning bathroom, it is sure to leave a lasting impression.”

Thorndown’s wall paint is an excellent choice for hallways. Not only does it look gorgeous, but it is highly durable – perfect for high-traffic areas.

Plus, there is no need to prime surfaces before application and it can be used on walls, ceilings, metal radiators and wooden surfaces including doors, window frames and skirting boards. It can also be painted on plaster or synthetic ceiling roses and coving – ideal for fans of colour drenching.

Plus, Thorndown Wall Paint dries really quickly and in warm conditions it can be ready for a second coat in 30 minutes to one hour. Only two coats are needed as the paint quality is so high, and colour pigments so rich and full that you get great coverage and opacity.

What’s more, the gorgeous flat matt finish of Thorndown Wall Paint is further elevated by the VOC free exterior grade colour pigments that give a superior and rich depth of colour that lasts for many years.

Caroline said: “A hallway sets the tone for the rest of the home and refreshing the paint job is the perfect way to elevate your welcome.”

Thorndown’s Wall Paint is available now, with prices starting at £22 for 750ml.
