For Autumn/Winter 2025, the brand presents its new additions: CRISS and LEIF – two patterns where graphic precision meets organic shapes, with colour tones inspired by the Swedish natural landscape. The result is an elegant fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern Scandinavian design.

CRISS – The Classic Check in a New Light

CRISS is Pappelina’s take on the iconic check – graphic, distinctive and with a stylish edge that brings fashion to mind.

The squares are framed to provide harmonious depth and depending on the colour choice, the rug features either a contrasting hemmed edge for a sophisticated and vibrant detail or a tone-on-tone edge for a more cohesive look.

Each rug is woven using two advanced techniques, perfectly combined – a technical challenge transformed into a visual and tactile statement by Pappelina’s weavers in Leksand. The result is a rug that showcases both skilled craftsmanship and confident design.

CRISS POP - Checked with a Pop of Colour

CRISS POP is the lively, younger sibling of CRISS – a rug where the classic check meets bold expression. With its contrasting hem in unexpected hues, CRISS POP adds energy, playfulness and attitude to any room. Despite its vibrant personality, it doesn’t compromise on craftsmanship. Just like CRISS, it is woven using two advanced techniques that meet in perfection - precision work that creates a clean, graphic look with a strong identity.

CRISS POP is designed to be seen, to stand out and still blend in – depending on how you choose to style it.

LEIF – Organic Shapes Inspired by Nature

LEIF embodies the timeless appeal of a classic Pappelina pattern, designed to be just as relevant today as in future seasons. The soft, organic form draws inspiration from the natural flow and subtle veining of a leaf, offering a calm yet lively expression.

The natural colour palette has been carefully selected to reflect the transitions of autumn – from earthy tones to gentle accents that blend effortlessly into different environments.

CRISS Blanket – Soft Comfort

CRISS is also launched as a blanket – a natural evolution for a pattern with such strong character. Here, the graphic check gets a new life in a soft, tactile material that brings both style and warmth. The blanket is framed by an elegant ribbon edge that enhances the graphic expression while the colour palette echoes that of the rug collection, creating a cohesive aesthetic throughout the space. The material combination is specially developed by Pappelina and consists of 50% organic, mulesing-free lambswool, pesticide-free and OEKO-TEX® certified, and 50% organic, GOTS-certified cotton chenille.
