A Trio of Trends

Dulux Colours of the Year 2026

The long-awaited season for the announcements of the various 2026 COTYs has arrived! And, as you'll know by now, Dulux has surprised everyone by revealing not one, but three - a trio of delightful blues from the indigo family they've called 'The Rhythm of Blues'.

Gisela Graham, Creative Director, says:

"Blue is such a wonderful shade for a COTY. Signifying calmness, serenity and peace, it works well with so many other colours and the trio Dulux has chosen spans light, mid and dark tones. They are sure to be hugely popular, especially as 2026 progresses towards summer and we all turn once more to the ocean and sky for inspiration."

Texture Drenching

The texture-drenched, layered look is set to continue throughout autumn and winter, adding warmth, depth and interest to our living spaces.

In the gift and accessories market, this will translate into loose-weave textiles, dimpled glassware and an abundance of interesting ceramics, amongst other delights.

Gisela Graham, Creative Director, says:

"We have a delicious range of textured ceramics for the A/W season, including leaf shaped mini bowls, gorgeous stoneware oak leaf jugs and beautiful mushroom-inspired vases and pot covers. Everything has the earthy feel of nature and works wonderfully with other layers of textures, including stone, wood and plaster."

New Neutrals: Earth Tones

There's always plenty of comment in the interiors world about the arrival of 'new neutrals'. For so long dominated by grey and beige, this season however there really does seem to be a strong shift towards a different colour base.

Gisela Graham, Creative Director, says:

"Earthy greens, warm browns and buttery yellows have made a huge impression on our collections for A/W, and definitely reflect a general trend away from grey to a new, less sterile base of neutrals. This new warmth reveals itself across our range in a proliferation of products, including olive green and amber glassware, terracotta and chocolate throws, and a wide offering of faux grasses and flowers."
