Each tile is expertly handcrafted using time-honoured stoneware methods and features a thick, hand-applied glaze that captures the nuances of this ancient ceramic technique, honed over the centuries.

A celebration of artistry, the considered collection comes in a range of 17 enticing colours, from rich and moody hues through to easy-on-the-eye warm neutrals, with 16 brick tiles (measuring 5 x 20 x 1 cm) and two square options (measuring 10 x 10 x 1 cm), each with an irresistible tactility, ensuring it appeals to the senses.

The traditional hands-on crafting process leads to natural variations in size and colour that infuse each tile with a rustic charm and organic character that simply cannot be replicated with a machine-made tile. Our Stone Glaze collection taps into the current trend of Wabi Sabi, which finds beauty in imperfection, capturing the mood for handcrafted products made from natural materials and imbuing interiors with style and soul.

Provenance and traditional methods are key to our beautiful Stone Glaze tiles. Local clay (a purer form than regular ceramics) is carefully sourced and shaped by hand using simple tools. The artisan’s traditional way of working retains the clay’s natural qualities and ensures each tile reflects the maker’s touch.

Exquisite enamel glazes, made with colours crafted from natural metal oxides using formulas that have been passed down through the generations, give the tiles their distinctive, rich and nuanced appearance. The enamel glaze is hand-poured over the tiles, with the natural colour of the clay remaining visible through the transparent glaze layer. The tile is then fired, when it becomes partially vitrified, increasing its strength. Organic imperfections and variations, such as raised speckles, chips and blemishes, gentle bowing and movement, varying gloss levels, and tonal shifts and pooling (where the glaze has naturally gathered), contribute to the evocative finish that captures the tile’s handmade nature. This means that no two tiles are the same, and the differences in tone ensure that any tiled surface in the home is infused with movement and depth.

The collection comes in an array of alluring shades, all perfect for creating a backdrop that’s sure to be at the forefront of any scheme. The glossy tiles are ideal for use on walls in kitchens or bathrooms and wet rooms, and include the earthy tones of Blossom, Petal, Cola and Tan; the nature-inspired greens of Lemongrass, Menthol, Olive Leaf, Winter Pond, Petrol Green and British Green; the dramatic hues of Atlantic and Imperial Red, and the warm whites and soft stone shades of Chalkstone, Chambray, Linen and Mink. The square matt tiles, which can be used on both walls and floors, come in Terra and Chalkstone colourways.
