Houseplant tips for beginners
When choosing a houseplant, the most important thing is knowing where you want to place it and selecting a plant that suits the light levels in that space. For beginners, or for those unsure about light conditions, choosing a plant that performs well across a range of light levels makes things simple.
Peace lilies are a great choice for first‑time houseplant owners, as they tolerate both bright and low‑light areas and need very little day‑to‑day care. During spring and summer, they benefit from being fed twice a month with Verve Liquid Plant Feed, while enjoying temperatures between 12–24°C.
Keep compost lightly moist, avoiding waterlogging. If your Peace Lily starts to need watering more than once a week, it may be ready to repot using Verve Peat‑Free Houseplant Compost. Verve’s 12cm Peace Lily fits perfectly into plant pots with an opening of 13cm or larger, such as the Verve White Ceramic Plant Pot, available in a range of colours and sizes.
For ongoing care, simply remove any dead leaves and gently wipe dust from the foliage with a damp cloth to keep your plant looking its best.
