Each piece of Standard Ware is made by our team of talented studio potters based at the historic Leach Pottery in St Ives.
Designed for everyday use, the Standard Ware collection includes tableware featuring plates, bowls, mugs and cookware including pestles and mortars, jugs and mixing bowls.
We offer three main glazes:
Ash: a soft, translucent green, with subtle variations
Tenmoku: a deep black finish, breaking to red-brown where it is thinner
Dolomite: a creamy white, sometimes giving a hint of blue
Prices start at £12 for an egg cup and up to £128 for a teapot.

About the Leach Pottery
The Leach Pottery is managed by the Bernard Leach (St Ives) Trust Ltd, a registered charity founded in 2005 reg. no 1111263. The primary objectives of the trust are to further the development of studio pottery, provide training in the art, craft and making of pottery and to advance the public education of the life and work of Bernard Leach and his circle.
The Leach Pottery is currently undergoing a two-year Capital Project to develop our site, among the improvements is a new Learning and Production Centre due to open in early 2026. We will also be developing our museum and create new exhibition spaces throughout 2026. Leach Pottery has received funding from St Ives Town Deal. the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Arts Council England’s MEND fund, Wolfston Foundation and the Headley Trust.
