British jewellery brand ChaLuMu was born from the founders’ own experiences of living with anxiety and PTSD.
Founded by lifelong friends Megan Marlow and Natasha Makara, the brand grew out of their shared experience of navigating everyday life as two single mums while managing anxiety behind the scenes.
For years, anxiety was something both women quietly carried through daily life, moments of overwhelming thoughts, social anxiety and the constant feeling of being on edge.
After discovering breathing necklaces, they began using them themselves during anxious moments.
The concept worked, but the designs available felt very plain.
So they redesigned them.
What began as a simple idea between two friends became ChaLuMu, a jewellery brand creating breathing necklaces designed to support anxious moments while still looking like beautiful everyday jewellery.
Each necklace is designed with a hollow pendant that allows the wearer to slowly exhale through it. This encourages slower breathing, a practice known to calm anxiety and widely recommended by health professionals as a way to help settle the body when anxious feelings begin to rise.
Many customers have also found the necklaces helpful when trying to break habits such as smoking, vaping or nail biting, using the necklace as a small physical reminder to pause and reset.
ChaLuMu necklaces are worn by women across the UK and internationally, combining jewellery design with purpose.
The necklaces are often chosen as thoughtful gifts for daughters, sisters, friends and mothers looking for something both beautiful and meaningful.
For Megan and Natasha, the mission behind the brand is simple.
To create jewellery that feels beautiful to wear while quietly supporting women through anxious moments in everyday life.
