How to create a bathroom that balances luxury and practicality

The perfect bathroom starts with thoughtful planning. Before choosing finishes, focus on the fundamentals: a practical layout, good lighting and clever storage. Investing in quality fittings and timeless materials will always outlast passing trends and create a space that feels both beautiful and functional. Once the essentials are in place, don't be afraid to introduce personality. Decorative wallpapers, statement tiles, freestanding baths and layered textures can transform a bathroom into a true retreat. The most successful schemes balance practicality with character, creating a room that feels as restorative as it is stylish.
