Media walls have become one of Britain’s most searched-for living room upgrades, as homeowners prepare their homes for cosy nights in. That’s according to the experts at specialist wall panelling brand Naturewall.
Using data from Google, Naturewall found search interest in the term ‘media wall’ began rising sharply around 2022 and has continued to grow, peaking in January 2026.
Now, with autumn and winter on the horizon, Naturewall’s interiors experts say homeowners are no longer trying to hide the television, but are instead using texture, wood tones and acoustic wall panelling to turn it into a warm, considered design feature.
Charlie Farrar, Product Marketing Manager for Naturewall, said: “Media walls have become so popular because they answer a very modern design problem. The television is often the focal point of the living room, but without the right backdrop it can feel quite stark.
