The Basket Room launches Sports Luxe: a new collection of handwoven bags inspired by colour, craft and memory.

The Basket Room is delighted to introduce Sports Luxe, a new collection of handwoven bags designed by founder Holly McMullen and handcrafted by long-standing weaving partners in Kenya.

Over two years in development, Sports Luxe draws inspiration from nostalgic colour palettes, reimagined through contemporary woven stripes, elevated detailing and versatile everyday silhouettes. Rich tones of ruby red, emerald green, mustard yellow, baby blue and vintage pink are woven together in bold graphic patterns and paired with luxury leather finishes.

The collection includes shoppers, cross-body bags and everyday carry-all styles, each handcrafted from sustainably sourced sisal by skilled women artisans in rural Kenya before being finished in partnership with a small leather workshop in Nairobi.

For Holly, Sports Luxe represents a full-circle creative journey.
