Hendel & Hendel introduces Bronze, a rich new hardware finish for 2026

Hendel & Hendel expands its signature finish palette with the introduction of Bronze, a rich, grounded new finish that brings warmth, depth and character to cabinetry, furniture and architectural details.

Developed as a distinctive new tone within the brand's evolving material palette, Bronze offers a warmer alternative to black and a deeper counterpart to brass. Layered with subtle red undertones, it shifts gently with light and surrounding materials, creating a characterful finish that feels warm, tactile and refined.

Each piece is hand-polished to create a soft, mirror-like depth, before being gently aged to achieve a lightly textured surface. A matt bronze lacquer is then applied and carefully cured to help preserve the finish's richness and tone, ensuring lasting protection while maintaining its natural warmth.

Bronze has been designed to sit comfortably within both contemporary and traditional interior schemes. Against oak and walnut, it draws out the natural warmth of the timber, while adding depth to honed stone, marble and painted cabinetry without overpowering the surrounding materials.

Gareth Hull, Design Lead at Hendel & Hendel, says: “"Bronze is one of those finishes people instinctively understand. It has a familiarity to it, but we wanted our interpretation to feel richer, more refined, and full of character. The subtle red undertones and hand-finished ageing process give it real depth, allowing it to sit beautifully within a wide range of material palettes. It has warmth, depth and brings tactility to a space, working in harmony with the surrounding materials rather than competing with them.”

The launch builds on Hendel & Hendel's Hardware First philosophy, encouraging homeowners, renovators and designers to consider cabinetry hardware from the earliest stages of the design process. Rather than being treated as a finishing touch, the brand believes hardware is one of the defining details that shapes how a space looks, feels and functions every day.

“Choosing a finish isn't simply about colour, it's about how it sits within the wider material palette. Bronze was developed to work effortlessly alongside timber, stone, marble and painted cabinetry, giving designers and homeowners another way to introduce warmth and depth from the earliest stages of a project. When hardware is considered from the outset, every detail feels more connected.”

Launching from August across a wide selection of Hendel & Hendel collections including best-sellers Greenwich, Callcott and Okus, Bronze joins the brand's core finish palette with additional collections becoming available throughout the autumn.

About Hendel & Hendel

Hendel & Hendel is a British, third-generation family-owned and award-winning hardware brand specialising in finely crafted cabinet handles, knobs, and architectural fittings designed to elevate everyday interiors. With its roots in Lincoln, the brand is shaped by a longstanding heritage of craftsmanship and manufacturing expertise, bringing a depth of knowledge built over decades and carried through each generation.

Known for its refined approach to design and materiality, Hendel & Hendel creates pieces that balance enduring character with a contemporary sensibility, allowing them to sit comfortably across a broad range of spaces, from period homes to modern schemes.

Each collection is developed with close attention to proportion, tactility, and finish, resulting in hardware that feels substantial in the hand while integrating seamlessly into its setting. Working with skilled manufacturers, the brand ensures consistency and durability across its range, with every piece designed to withstand daily use while ageing with integrity.

In October 2025, Hendel & Hendel expanded its presence with the launch of its London Experience Studio, a dedicated space for interior designers and architects to engage more closely with the brand. Designed as a tactile environment rather than a traditional showroom, the studio allows visitors to explore the full collection in situ while supporting project specification through expert guidance and a more hands-on approach.

Hendel & Hendel is trusted by KBB retailers, interior designers, architects, and homeowners alike for its ability to deliver hardware that enhances rather than dominates a space, supporting a cohesive design approach.
