In our own home, we've mixed a number of very personal pieces, each of which holds a very special memory - from antique opera glasses bought on a family trip to a sketch of Naples once owned by my grandfather-in-law. Or my own grandfather's well-used watercolour tablet; when I walk through the room, I often smile, picturing my grandfather happily painting at the dining table. For me, that's far more meaningful than simply hanging a photograph. It is those personal layers that give a home warmth, character and soul.”
