4. Radiator not heating properly? Check the valves first
A stuck TRV is a really common problem, particularly after the heating hasn't been used over the summer. Try removing the valve head and gently pressing the small metal pin underneath, it should move freely up and down. If it feels stuck, gently working it can help to free it, but don't force it. Once it's moving freely again, replace the valve head and turn the heating back on. In many cases, this simple fix is usually enough to do the trick and once it’s moving freely, your radiator should spring back to life.
