Fashion and interiors have always borrowed from one another, and the Spring/Summer 2027 collections give us an early look at some of the ideas we may soon be seeing in our homes. This season, fashion feels less interested in playing it safe. Colour combinations are getting stranger, shine is making a comeback, sheer fabrics are being layered in new ways, and there is a growing interest in nostalgia, nature and a more playful approach to personal style.
Many of these ideas translate surprisingly naturally into interiors. Wallpaper gives us the opportunity to experiment with the same colours, patterns and finishes we see on the runway, whether through an unexpected colour combination, a subtle metallic surface, a nostalgic stripe or a large-scale tropical mural. And with interiors becoming increasingly personal, our walls are a natural place to be a little more adventurous.
We’ve picked out some of our favourite trends from the SS27 collections and explored how they could make the move from our wardrobes into our homes.
