Two-Tone Perfume SKA Infused Fragrance✨

Imagine trying to design a perfume that celebrates a genre that is dance crazy, sharp-suited, political, multi-racial when the UK is going through similar financial recession to the 1970’s?

2 Tone Records began in a Coventry flat in 1979, Brighton Perfume is similar as I have chosen a working space over comfort to allow me to pursue my dream of creating a new vibrant small batch revolution like how craft beer has tickled the taste buds to give an eco-option to the corporate bland drinks industry.

How do you make a perfume that celebrates such an eclectic and diverse genre? Firstly, two-tone has vibrant brass so the perfume needs a citrus kick that comes from Mandarin. The rhythm of the perfume needed to be a fusion, a floral woody composite that reflects the guitar rude boy element so taking a feminine flowery scent like Ylang-Ylang and combining it with Cedarwood and Jasmin to create a fragrant depth that lasts on the skin.

Then the bass must drive up through the perfume with a smoky elixir which is achieved by blending Rosewood and Vetiver with precision to give this perfume the beat it deserves. Two-Tone perfume is a masculine fragrance but is suitable for anyone who enjoys a deep, smoky perfume balanced with floral and citrus.

TWO-TONE PERFUME- A desire to transcend and defuse, citrus over dark mysterious note. A classic of British popular counterculture revived over the tapestry of music…

Pao’s Perfume Notes: Top Mandarin, Midde: Cedarwood, Jasmin, Ylang-Ylang Base: Rosewood, Vetiver

I hope my 2Tone perfume has lived up to the legacy of one of the most important cultural music movements in the UK and I will leave you with a wonderful quote from Jerry Dammers. ‘The black and white checks in the 2 Tone label were retro but I was pleased when people saw it as a symbol of racial unity.’

About Brighton Perfume

Brighton Perfume is a window into a real vegan perfumery existing in an open kitchen blending, atomising and symbiosing small batch natural fragrance. Perfumer Pao Pincerna was the Winner of the OK! National Beauty Awards for Perfume with his first perfume 'Effrene' in 2018. Trained by Alec Lawless in Artisan Perfumery from his concept of being Led  by The Nose, Pao created his own system of fragrance design called Perfology. A controversial figure often seen as the 'Heston Blumenthal' of perfumery, he combines science with nature in a symbiotic way to create bombastic elixirs.
