This luxurious set is inspired by the famous embroidery of Castelo Branco, marking the timelessness and elegance of this collection. Within the Portuguese handicrafts, embroidery holds a special place, of great beauty and originality,
standing out as an art form with a very peculiar character. Its uniqueness is also enriched by the connection to Castelo Branco, the capital city of a region with a strong linen tradition and where the mulberry trees grew easily. The 18th century is thought to have been the most prosperous time for embroidery. After a period of relative neglect, it re-emerged in the first quarter of the 20th century, precisely in the region of Castelo Branco. Castelo Branco tableware pays tribute to this traditional Portuguese handwork, reproducing the weaving of the delicate and elegant motifs – the influence of which dates back to the Moorish presence in the Iberian Peninsula – in a sober blue, where only the bright yellow contrasts with the whiteness of the porcelain. A practical and timeless set of pieces of great nobility! Suitable for microwaves. For dishwashing, we advise short cycles at low temperatures. Avoid frequent use in dishwashing.
