Pantone's selection of Peach Fuzz, the 25th annual color iteration, was chosen by trend predictors who traverse the globe to anticipate future design trends, and is anticipated to redefine the aesthetic landscape in the coming year.

Commenting on the announcement, Annica Wallin, Executive Creative Director at Desenio, shared her

 insights and impressions on Peach Fuzz.

“We see Peach Fuzz as a comforting yet modern color, evoking images of opulent Italian garden parties or beautiful countryside homes. Neither overtly masculine or feminine, we see a shift toward more natural aesthetics that embrace a balance between rustic luxury and an appreciation for beautifully made, high-quality pieces. There is a sweetness and an innocence to the shade that is sensual but understated, modern but familiar."

Pantone frames the color as a source of calm, offering a space for belonging, recalibration, and nurturing in the midst of a world facing various challenges.

While reflecting on Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2023, Viva Magenta and its connections to other trends such as the Barbiecore phenomenon, Pantone acknowledges Peach Fuzz's potential to become a next-generation trendsetter and, perhaps, the next

rediscovered neutral.
