PALAVA SPRING/SUMMER 2024 COLLECTION LAUNCH

Palava are excited and proud to introduce our SS24 collection ‘Lost at Sea’.

This collection combines many new and some archive Palava prints and takes us on an adventure by the water. This entire collection was designed for mixing and matching: whether it’s plains with prints or prints with prints, and we are encouraging our fanbase and followers to get creative and colourful with their combinations.

The collection has 3 parts:

WORKWEAR

All new Workwear: a collection of colour, practical items that complement our Palava prints.

With a brand new summer-weight utility jacket, our staple Wilma trousers and our trusty culotte trousers, this collection extends the wearability and practicality of a Palava wardrobe - while staying fun and colourful!

LOST AT SEA

This season join Team Palava as we take to the high seas, dressed for adventure.

With striking prints and a bold colour palette heavily inspired by nautical adventures, these send us out into unchartered waters. All of our pieces are designed as strong separates that can be mixed and matched into adventurous outfits ready to take on the stormy seas.

RIVERSIDE

Evoking the calm of wild swimming, join us as we travel inland along peaceful streams brimming with nature and wildlife, immersing ourselves in the joys of lazy days by the water’s edge. Ecosystems come to life in ‘Riverside’, a classic Palava collection showcasing lush landscapes and the little animals that inhabit them.

A BIT MORE ABOUT US

At Palava, we create colourful and unique prints that tell a story. Our high-quality fabrics are sewn into dresses in London that pepper your wardrobe with personality and your day with joy. We’re an independently owned, British clothing brand that is full of character. We make colourful and quirky pieces that are designed to be lived in and loved for years to come.

We stand for:

Transparency - Knowing exactly where our clothes are made, by who, and under what conditions - from the raw material to the finished garment.

Close to home - A commitment to making in the UK. We love being able to visit our factories and support UK manufacturing and craftsmanship.

Personality - We love how Palava clothing makes people smile. In a world where it is easy to feel invisible, wearing Palava never fails to open up conversations and attract compliments.

No waste - We believe every scrap of fabric has value. In all processes there is waste but we have a long-term commitment to make sure that our offcuts are never wasted; giving them a second purpose, either through scrap bundles or becoming something new.

Making less - Making less enables us to stay small and have more manoeuvrability. Making less enables us to not overproduce and allows our clothing to keep the value it deserves.

About Palava

‘I love to make clothing that highlights the vibrancy and creativity of women who do not want to disappear into the background.’
 –Bryony Richardson, Owner & Designer

About Us
We’re an independently UK-owned clothing brand based between North Yorkshire and London. We've been crafting unique, high-quality clothing for the past fifteen years.

Our small team of six, led by our founder, Bryony Richardson, produces every aspect of our designs, including the original prints that have become our trademark.

Everything we do is grounded in sustainability and ethical practices, strongly emphasising traceability. We have created a supply chain with high transparency by working with just a few manufacturers and producers as locally as possible.

Although we predominantly sell clothing online, we run our business from our studio/shop, just a short walk from Kings Cross station. We love how this allows us to meet our customers in person and learn more about them and their lives. The typical Palava fan is, just like us, creative, thoughtful and with busy lives.

Where are our clothes made?
We work with just three small companies. For the bulk of our orders, we are incredibly proud to have worked with the same small family-run factory on the outskirts of London for over eight years. We love how easy it is for us to drop by and oversee production. Our heritage-style wool knitwear is made by a manufacturer in Mansfield, while our organic cotton cardigans and tops are made in Turkey.

Sustainability
We also care deeply about our planet and carefully consider each step of the production process to ensure our clothing is made as ethically and sustainably as possible. You can find the most recent information on this by visiting our website here: https://palava.co/pages/sustainability

How to Wear Palava
Mix and match our tops and bottoms with stunning primary-coloured separates like our bright-coloured lightweight dungarees, linen palazzos or organic cotton cardigans in the summer. We have comfy corduroy trousers, cosy accessories, and heritage-style wool knitwear in the winter.
Our dresses are often bought for special occasions – from weddings to parties and festive celebrations. We know they will be popular for the coronation celebrations this year. But they are also incredibly practical – designed for movement and comfort as well originality.
