Winter Warmers

J.J. Textile on how to add texture and warmth this winter with colourful blanket collection

As temperatures drop and the days grow shorter, snuggling up under a warm throw is the perfect escape from the harsh winter days.

And luxury textile designer J.J. Textile has a striking range of nature-inspired throws to bring colour and comfort during colder months.

Jurate Jakstaite, Founder of J.J. Textile, said: “More than just a cosy accessory, blankets and throws can significantly enhance the overall warmth and comfort of the home during the winter months.

“On the aesthetic front, throws are ideal for adding layers of texture to sofas and chairs, but from a functional perspective, as soon as the temperature dips they are within easy reach to wrap around and snuggle up in.”

J.J. Textile’s range of nature-inspired throws include a vibrant yellow Bee Throw. Available in two sizes, the pure wool throw is bursting with colour and adorned in a honeycomb pattern and classic bee illustrations. Tasselled edges complete the look.

Another jewel in the collection is the Loose Fern Wool Throw. Again, it’s crafted from 100% wool but this beauty has a rich green colour scheme with subtle delicate fern detailing. It exudes tranquillity and brings a touch of biophilia into the home.

Jurate said: “The desire to connect with nature has become an evergreen trend. Biophilic design, which incorporates elements of the natural world, is transforming living spaces by helping to create an environment that promotes well-being and creativity.

“This throw collection, which pays homage to the natural world, will bring a dose of biophillic goodness wherever used.”

J.J. Textile’s range of throws and blankets are available now from J.J. Textile with prices starting at £65.

About J.J. Textile

JJ Textile began with a childhood in Lithuania, surrounded by animals, and summers spent at a grandparents' orchard watching the seasons turn. That love of the natural world followed founder Jurate Jakstaite through art school, a textile degree in Vilnius, and a master's in Helsinki - where, weaving a daily diary of colour and texture, she discovered what textiles could really be: not just fabric, but a way of expressing something.

After a decade designing for Scandinavian textile brands, Jurate moved to Britain. The rolling fields and quiet grey mornings worked their way into her sketchbook, and JJ Textile was born - animals from her Lithuanian childhood meeting the countryside she'd come to love in Britain.

Today, every blanket, cushion and throw starts the same way it always has: a hand-drawn design, rooted in nature, brought to life by trusted Lithuanian manufacturers in pure wool or wool-cotton blends. Wool, to us, isn't a trend - it's a conviction. Renewable, breathable, and better with age, it's the most honest material we know.

Happy living in the woollen world.
