DeepL TranslateA vintage mid century cream Anglepoise model 1227 desk lamp designed by Herbert Terry. This model was was manufactured by Anglepoise from 1938 – 1968.
There is a little press button on and off switch on the top of the lamp shade.
The springs are in good condition with no rusting or disintegration – and hold in place nicely with no drift down or movement.
It’s in excellent vintage, working condition with original paintwork. A nice clean vintage example.
Please note this is an original and not a reproduction, so please expect historical signs of wear/use consistent with age and use which add to it’s appeal.
Rewired with new bulb holder, black braided cable and new 3 pin UK plug.
Anglepoise is a British lighting company that is known for its iconic task lamps. The company was founded in 1932 by George Carwardine, an automotive engineer who was interested in finding a way to create a lamp that could be easily adjusted and held its position without slipping or toppling over.
