Small Herbalist Chest, Black Lacquer

http://www.shimu.co.ukThis little black lacquer chest is a modern take on the old apothecary chest, smaller in size but with drawers made larger so that they are ideally sized to hold up to 25 CDs each. Chinese herbalists used chests containing dozens of small drawers to hold their medicines for hundreds of years. It is also great as a side table, in a bathroom for storing lotions and potions, or even as a sock drawer in the bedroom. The drawers are all made with dovetail joints, with a simple brass ring pull on the front.
