Description
DeepL TranslateStudio Le Cocq's head designer was inspired by trips taken to historic sites around the UK. During one trip to Chichester Cathedral, she noticed the painted mural on the ceiling of the Lady Chapel. Captivated y the nature-inspired swirls of Tudor roses, decorative foliage, and heraldic elements. She later discovered was painted by Lambert Barnard (1485–1567), an English Renaissance painter known for his frescoes.
Studio Le Cocq has taken inspiration from these motifs with a repeating pattern, keeping the rustic feeling of the mural.
The Chimera Clay colourway is a nod to the original mural, the flowers are coloured a dusty terracotta and the leaves a grey green.
Serpentine 192 by Mylands is a perfect accent colour.
