Finished with six layers of UV varnish, they arrive scratch-resistant, water-repellent, and ready to use straight away – saving you both time and the cost of finishing. It’s the smarter way to enjoy the luxury look of real oak, with long-lasting protection built in.

Designed to span a full 5-metre wall, the BESTÅ units provide generous hidden toy storage while blending effortlessly into the living space.
To elevate the IKEA base units, custom fronts were professionally spray-painted to match the walls, creating a clean, minimal finish. The cabinets were then topped with a cut-to-size oak veneered tabletop, adding warmth, texture and a high-end feel that helps the unit read as fully bespoke.
This project is a great example of how combining IKEA furniture with made-to-measure elements can deliver a custom look at a fraction of the cost — perfect for family homes that need practical storage without compromising on style.
