Description

Brilliantly blue British cornflowers (Centaurea Cyanus). These iconic and distinctive flowers are fantastic for bees, beetles, butterflies and moths, and are a simply marvellous addition to any wildlife garden. They are also edible with a cucumber-like taste, and can be used in salads, as a garnish or infused as a tea!
Every tube contains 20 seed balls, each packed with wildlife-friendly wildflower seeds. These make for lovely gardening gifts, bee and butterfly gifts, eco friendly gifts or birthday gifts. They will work well in window boxes, balcony pots, garden beds and wildlife gardens. It’s time to rewild!
Poppy Wildflowers Seedball Tube contains:
One tube: 20 balls, approx. 200 native wildflower seeds, perfect for pollinators
clay, to protect the seeds from predators
peat-free compost, to provide a little nutrition
chilli powder, to deter slugs and snails eating the young shoots.
How to sow:
Simply scatter on top of soil or compost leaving at least 10cm between each ball and water on dry days. Sprouts seen in 2 to 4 weeks, weather depending.
Best scattered in Spring or autumn
