A new take on checker board
Indigenous has introduced a new Midas Flagstone floor, with cabochons. Based on the iconic checkerboard design, the floor recreates the classic look in rustic limestone, combining a warm-linen tone with soft grey toned ‘pin dots’.
To add to its vintage charm, the pale Midas tiles have a tumbled finish and distinct broken edges, which stand out against a wide, pale grout joint. The small, inset bluey-grey toned limestone cabochons – which have straight edges and a gentle tumbled finish - create a stunning contrast, without being overly stark. The tiles have a tactile natural oil pre-finish which enhances the floor’s aged look and provides resistance to water and stains.
“Our new patterned Midas floor is a rustic alternative to classic 'black and white' tiles, in a warmer and more ‘earthy’ colour pairing. The rustic limestone’s also more practical than a high gloss tile finish, providing good grip under foot in kitchens and bathrooms,” explained Indigenous’ Clare Thomas.
The larger tiles measure 600 x 600 x 20 mm and the smaller square/diamond cabochons (depending on the direction that the floor is laid) measure 75 mm x 75 mm x 20 mm.
