Beautiful Ekotemplet contemporary, cork-backed sage green placemat for your home in a soft green herringbone pattern with a superior lacquered finish. Meticulously hand-illustrated with a two dimensional layering technique. Each design is named after a person or a place close to my heart back home in Sweden, inspired by my personal upbringing and family traditions.

Matching large Euro size table mat, Swedish serving tray and drink coasters are also available in the elegant Ekotemplet design. This is our new delivery of Ekotemplet in a brighter colour palette and with lacquered edges of the eucalyptus board. Sold individually so you can mix and match to your personal taste for your home decor.

These placemats are a perfect gift for birthday, wedding, anniversary, new home, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, thank you and get well wishes.

“Love the design of these placemats! They are easy to clean and look expensive. I have purchased the large size for my dining table and the medium size for my breakfast bar.”

DESIGN INSPIRATION: I grew up in Solna, a suburb just to the north of Stockholm city centre and a lot of my childhood was spent exploring the local royal park called Hagaparken. I particularly liked to play in the Haga Echo Temple which was built in 1790 as a summer dining room for King Gustav III, who loved to entertain outdoors. As well as being a focal point in the park, the acoustics produced by the oval shape assisted the conversation of the king and his guests across the large oval table.
