Plant in March - May, Flowering period June - September
Sow directly outdoors April-June, planting two seeds together every 45cm, 1.5cm deep in well drained soil in a sunny position. Keep moist. Can also be sown inside March-April 1cm deep into peat free multipurpose or seed compost into 9cm pots. Acclimatise to outdoor conditions, then plant out 45cm apart in a sunny spot after risk of frost is over. Seedlings will usually appear after 14-21 days. If both seeds germinate, remove the smaller of the two seedlings to leave one strong healthy seedling in each location.
Remove any deadheads on the plant to encourage more flowers to bloom.
