Description

A semi-precious hand-carved mineral stone basin.
More detailed information:
Crafted from semi-precious mineral stone, Indigenous’ Agate basin is both unique and visually stunning. Hand-carved from a single piece of stone, the freestanding design is a very distinct mix of silver, white and beige with pale blue opaque banding. Rugged and bumpy on the outside, and polished to a high-shine on the inside, the basin is designed to be set atop a vanity or floating shelf and works beautifully when contrasted with simple brassware and a minimalist limestone surface.
Agate is a type of chalcedony formed in the cavities of volcanic rock. It obtains its colouring from silica-rich water and its tiny crystals of iron and manganese oxide minerals. As well as being incredibly hardwearing, the stone is believed to transform negative energy into positive energy, rebalancing and harmonising body, mind and spirit.
The stone used to craft the basin is sourced from Brazil and Madagascar. Each basin is unique in its exact size and shape, with a water capacity of approx. 7 litres and weight of approx. 50 kgs. To further enhance the basin’s stunning aesthetic, it can be lit from underneath.
Other semi-precious basins in Indigenous’ collection include the Crystal Rock basin which is hand-carved from a rare block of rock crystal.
